Wedding, Party of Two...
-  The story behind Maui -

It all started with the engagement ring...Robyn and John thought they would plan for a 2005 wedding.

However, they weren't to sure where the ceremony would be since they both come from different states and their families are spread out in different countries.
But in 2004, they couldn't pass up the opportunity to take advantage of being in California.  John has traveled many a time for work and for fun, but is still chicken when it comes to being on an airplane.  Since Robyn and John had plans to be in the Los Angeles area for a wonderful wedding, they figured they could take advantage of jumping on the plane and heading for the beautiful island of Maui.

They both wanted an intimate and romantic wedding ceremony...
So, one day in June, as John was making travel arrangements for their friends' wedding in Los Angeles, he found out he and Robyn could make LAX a "stopover" and take advantage of using frequent flyer miles to have him and Robyn go to Maui!!!

So, immediately, John called Robyn at work and threw out the idea of hopping over to Maui.  The idea became a reality immediately as the two lovebirds agreed getting Maui'd would be fantastic!!

Maui become the perfect place for John and Robyn to start their married life together.  Before it could be finalized as their wedding location, John would have to contact a local parish to see if someone, and somwehere, was available for them to share wedding vows.  Luckily, there was!

While it was a shorter time frame to plan a wedding, Robyn and John got to work and were able to plan a wedding in Maui.
...But they still wanted to share their marriage with family and friends.
So...while they could easily arrange for themselves to be in Maui at the right time, they wanted to make sure they would be able to celebrate their marriage with friends and family.

While Robyn and John are having an intimate wedding ceremony, they will definitely return to the mainland to celebrate their love and marriage with family and friends.

Colorado 2005...let the party begin!!
